Pattaya Archery Club -- the first and only archery club in Pattaya

Archery for everyone in Pattaya; Thailand's premier east coast resort.

The most popular type of bow is a "recurve" bow, the type that is used in the Olympic Games. In the Pattaya Archery Club we mainly use recurve bows for target archery, as you can see in these two pictures

However we also have an experienced longbow archer, Wolf, (pictured below when he was shooting in a 3-D outdoor competition). Longbows have no sight or stabilisers, like the recurves, so longbow archers rely on instinctive sighting; quite a difficult technique to master

Compound bows (as used by Sylvester Stallone in his "Rambo" films) are increasingly popular, as demonstrated by Eric, above.

Coaching and the use of the club's training equipment is free, but most archers will eventually want to buy their own archery kit. We can provide advice as to what type and specification of bow, plus the specifications for arrows and other equipment.

The club also has a free arrow straightening and refletching service, essential to keep pace with the inevitable wear on your arrows
